PEER POST # 1



There are so many amazing technologies in the world today. I chose to discuss virtual reality (VR). This technology has advanced the gaming world and propelled gaming to a new level. Virtual reality allows users to transport themselves from their own homes into different worlds are environments with the feel that they are really where they see themselves. In ten years I believe the world of VR will have reached new heights from where it is now. I could see business using virtual reality to hold business meetings in the place of webinars and teleconferences replacing products like zoom and go to meeting. This would allow employees to not just all communicate and see each other but to also feel as if they are in the same room as the people they are meeting with.



PEER POST # 2



I believe self driving cars, although have come a long way, still have a few years to actually mature enough to be ready for true "prime time". The reason I say this is they are using a lot of Sonar and echo replies for the vehicle to "see" where it is going, but these sensors are not 100% reliable at this time. I wonder if there is special paint that we can use with a unique ingredient in it, possibly a metal, or a certain plastic that could be used as an echo sound and provide better "visibility" for the cars to stay in a lane, especially in bad weather when the roads are snow covered? Wither way, I think cars as we know them today will be steering wheel-less, electric, and everyone in the car will be a passenger. In my opinion, I'm not a fan of that mentality and I have been around enough flakey software/hardware that I would prefer not to be part of this cutting edge technology.
