In the Journal you will address how laws you have studied might impact the culture in which you live. Culture in this context refers to beliefs, values, traditions, customs, and practices regarding a particular group based on gender, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, etc.

For example: If your family is Lithuanian and you arrived in the U.S. in 1987, you might speak to how the passing of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act influenced you being able to get a steady job regardless of your nationality. You then might summarize how this law improves your ability to improve the society in general and your own future in particular.

You will summarize your thoughts in a minimum of 250 words addressing the following checklist items:
